Typical Itinerary

Day 1  - Pick-up from either of the Rome airports or Orvieto train station. Welcome to Columbus Hotel and an introduction to the week ahead by Virginia, the artist. Guests will meet each other during a pre-dinner drink with your painting course colleagues.

Day 2  - The day starts after breakfast  with the first lesson of your painting holiday in the studio room.

Days 3 - 5,  - A typical day in the life of the painting holiday: 8.00 - 8.45 - Breakfast.  9.15 - Meet to plan day. 9.30 - 12.00 - Art Session 12.00 - 12.45 - Option to continue art, swim or walk 12.45 - 14.00 - Lunch break 14.00 - 17.00 - Art Session Free time - or continue painting 19.00 - Drinks 19.30 - Supper. One of the weekdays will be spent visiting an ancient hilltop village, lake Bolsena or one of the many attractive venues that offer the painter a variety of scenes. During the holiday week there will be a ‘notice board’ in the studio with ongoing information, anecdotes and images of the previous day’s activity.

Day 6 is your free day - You have all the facilities of Bolsena and its lake to enjoy. Should you wish to travel further afield please feel free to ask advice from Bob  about the many attractions of the area.

Saturday - Day 7   - Transfers back to the airport for those guests not staying to extend their holiday.

Rainy days - In the unlikely event that there is a rainy day, we will arrange still life and interiors master-classes.
